February 12, 2022 (DeeD) – Cine Lebu, Lebu International Film Festival, now in 22nd edition, has announced lineup for the 2022 edition of the festival.
The 22nd Cine Lebu, Festival Internacional de Cine de Lebu, has unveiled the 2022 festival lineup in different competition sections of festival. The 22nd Cine Lebu has introduced the festival lineup in 8 sections: “Video Clip,” “Regional Fiction Short Films,” “Regional Documentary Short Films,” “International Animation Short Films,” “International Documentary Short Films,” “International Fiction Short Films,” “WIP – Work In Progress,” “Lab.”
Since 2018, CINE LEBU, or Festival Internacional de Cine de Lebu, is the only festival in Chile Qualifier of Short Films for the Oscar Awards. The winners in the Cine Lebu short film competition sections of “International Fiction,” “Regional Fiction,” and “International Animation” will be eligible for consideration in the Animation and Live Action competitions of the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) without the theoretical course standard as long as the short film fulfills with the rules of the academy.
A lineup of 23 short animation movies compete in the “International Animation” competition section of the 2022 Cine Lebu.
