Beausoleil Côte d’Azur International FICTS Festival, recognized by the FICTS or the Federation of Sport Televisions and of the images on screen, has announced the award winners for the 6th edition of the festival, which wrapped-up on May 12 at the Centre Culturel Prince Héréditaire Jacques de Monaco in Beausoleil, France.

Beausoleil Côte d’Azur International FICTS Festival is promoted and organized by the CDOS 06—Comité Departemental Olympique et Sportif des Alpes Marittimes (chaired by Philippe Manassero) in association with FICTS—Federation International Cinema Television Sportif (129 Member Countries) recognized by the IOC – International Olympic Committee) and the city of Beausoleil.

The 6th edition of the Beausoleil Côte d’Azur International FICTS Festival du Cinéma Sportif took place as a three-day event of projection, debate and seminar to communicate the Olympic values and spread the importance of sports practice from May 10-12, 2022.

The festival wrapped-up in a closing ceremony on May 12 at the Centre Culturel Prince Héréditaire Jacques de Monaco, which was attended by the FICTS President Prof. Franco Ascani.

The godmother of the event has been Céline Bousrez, bronze medalist at the Paralympic Games Tokyo (2020) in para-triathlon.

FICTS President Prof. Franco Ascani awarded the Municipality of Beausoleil with the “Guirlande d’Honneur”
The FICTS President Prof. Franco Ascani awarded the Municipality of Beausoleil – in the person of the Mayor Gérard Spinelli (with his wife) – with the “Guirlande d’Honneur” the highest honor of the FICTS, considered the “Oscar of TV and Sports Cinema”, reserved for those personalities from sport, cinema and TV who have distinguished themselves in a significant action to promote cultural and ethical values.

FICTS, or Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs, is the Federation of Sport Televisions and of the images on screen.

Founded in 1983, FICTS is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for which it promotes the values of sport through film and television.

Chaired by Franco Ascani (Member of IOC Culture and Olympic Heritage Commission), it is the only international Federation headquartered in Milan.

FICTS organizes the Sport Movies & TV – Milano International FICTS Fest. It is the world’s finals of the “World FICTS Challenge”, the Worldwide Championship of Cinema, Television and Sport Culture, organized in 16 festivals across five continents.

FICTS promotes and organizes the annual Worldwide Championship of Sport, Cinema and Television “WORLD FICTS CHALLENGE” programmed in 16 festivals in five continents.

Winning productions of each phase are automatically admitted to the final phase.

The jury of the 6th Beausoleil Côte d’Azur International FICTS Festival, chaired by Bernard Maccario, has honored 7 movies with best awards in different competition sections.

Clip & Advertisement 

“Move Fast” directed by Lucinda McLaren from United Kingdom won the best award in the ‘Clip & Advertisement’ competition section.

Sport & Society

“The Recess” directed by Navid Nikkhah Azad from Spain won the best award in the ‘Sport & Society’ competition section.

Sport Film

The best ‘Sport Film’ award went to “Blue Girl – Football on the Peak” directed by Keivan Majidi from Iran.

Documentary Film

The award for the Best Documentary went to “Cicliste per Caso – Grizzly Tour” directed by Silvia Gottardi from Italy.

Olympic Games

The best award in the Olympic Games competition section went to “Au delà des médailles” directed by Jean Philippe Lustyk from France.

Côte d’Azur Clip

“Nice Volley-Ball” directed by Loic Zanus Fortes from France won the award for the best Côte d’Azur Clip.

Jury Prize

The jury prize of the 6th Beausoleil Côte d’Azur International FICTS Festival went to “La troisième mi-temps” directed by Alissia Lejeune from France.

Winners of the 6th Beausoleil Côte d’Azur International FICTS Festival will participate in the 2022 Sport Movies & TV – Milano International FICTS Fest, Final of the “World FICTS Challenge” World Championship of Cinema and Sports Television, which will take place November 9-13, 2022 in Milan, Italy.
