Durban International Film Festival (DIFF) is an Academy Award® qualifying festival for the documentary feature film categories. Winners of Best International Documentary Film and Best South African Documentary Film will be eligible for consideration in the Documentary Feature Film category of the Academy Awards® without the standard theatrical run, provided the films otherwise complies with the Academy Rules.
