Drama International Short Film Festival 2022 lineup

45th Drama International Short Film Festival (DISFF) has announced international lineup for 2022 festival, which is scheduled to take place in Athens, Greece from September 5-11.

Drama International Short Film Festival (DISFF), one of the world’s oldest short film festivals, is Greece’s leading short film festival. DISFF is the annual meeting place for filmmakers and industry professionals. Based in Drama, Greece, the festival runs a six-day schedule in September and its main venues are Municipal Conservatory and Olympia Cinema.

Drama International Short Film Festival (DISFF) is the leading Greek and South-Eastern European gateway to the world’s most prestigious short film awards, and nominated filmmakers qualify for the European Film Awards.

The President of this year’s International Competition Jury Committee will be the multi-awarded Vassilis Kekatos, the first Greek director to win the Golden Phoenix for short films in the 72nd Cannes Festival, with his fourth short film The distance between us and the sky.

The International Competition section of the 45th Drama International Short Film Festival (DISFF) is juried by the Vassilis Kekatos (Jury President / Film Director), Basim Magdy (Experimental Artist, Filmmaker) and Claire Diao ( Film Distributor, Critic).

A lineup of two short films has been selected to go on screen in the Out of Competition program section of the 2022 Drama International Short Film Festival, or the 45th DISFF.

The International Animation Competition section of the 45th Drama International Short Film Festival (DISFF) is juried by Sperer Sebastien (Member of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival), Maria Anestopoulou (Head Programmer of the Platforma Video and the Animasyros Festival) and Panayiotis Kyriakoulakos (Assistant Professor in Computer Animation (University of the Aegean) and audiovisual and interactive projects producer).

Drama International Short Film Festival (DISFF) collaborates with ΕΚΟΜΕ (National Centre of Audiovisual Media & Communication), ΕRT (Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation), ΕΚΚ (Greek Film Center), Onassis Stegi, Cyclops, RAYCAP, Finos Film, COSMOTE TV and many other bodies, “under the undivided support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Administrative Region, the Greek Parliament, the Municipality of Drama, and, of course the ongoing collaboration with the Greek cinema community”.
