The film awards for the 64th Nordische Filmtage Lübeck were handed out this evening at the gala Prize Night at Theater Lübeck. MC Loretta Stern hosted the ceremony during which prizes worth 63,000 euros were awarded.

At the opening of the Seville European Film Festival today, the European Film Academy introduces the Month of European Film as Europe's own film and award season. Starting on 13 November, it celebrates the diversity of European film for four weeks until its grand finale on 10 December with the European Film Awards in Iceland.

This year, Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival will screen 232 features and 230 short films from 75 countries. As of today, the full PÖFF program is public and ticket sales have begun. In total, the festival, which opens on November 11, has five competition and 13 special programs featuring 78 world and 48 international premieres - a new record. For the first time, a new competition program Critics' Picks is planned - covering the most recent trends in film art selected by the experienced film critics and theorists in the festival's programming team.

The RE:U:NITE Gala returns during the 22nd edition of the Whistler Film Festival (WFF) with an extraordinary celebration of film and music. WFF has unveiled its first round of  honourees and entertainment lineup that features British Columbia born Jason Priestley and Vancouver based industry veteran Peter Leitch, with Juno winners Prevail and Said the Whale, and Ethiopia-born, Whistler-based emerging artist ZADA confirmed to perform. The Festival's annual benefit will support the 80 Canadian artists and filmmakers participating in WFF's talent programs.

Filipe Melo's THE LONE WOLF (O Lobo Solitário) has qualified to be considered for the 2023 Academy Awards. THE LONE WOLF is represented by h264 whose previous films MARGUERITE and FAUVE were nominated for Academy Award.

The 64th Nordische Filmtage Lübeck showcasing Nordic and Baltic films opened with the German premiere of the Danish documentary "Music for Black Pigeons" directed by Jørgen Leth and Andreas Koefoed, who are on hand in Lübeck alongside the film's protagonist, musician Jakob Bro, and its producer, Emile Hertling Péronard.

Whistler Film Festival (WFF) has announced the full lineup for its 22nd edition taking place in-person from November 30, to December 4 2022  in Whistler, BC, and online from December 5 to January 2, 2023. Films in competition will vie for 15 film awards and $223,500 in cash and prizes awarded by juries composed of leading cinematic talent.

A New Home, the latest documentary from Director/Producer Joseph Puleo and Executive Producer Rio Vitale, will have an encore screening as part of the 31st St. Louis International Film festival on November 6, 2:15pm at The Galleria.

Altogether 20 films in production or post-production, looking for sales agents or festivals for international premiers, will be presented at three Works In Progress showcases during [email protected] & Baltic Event in 2022. The films include new projects from award-winning directors as well as debuts from different genres.

Cinema St. Louis (CSL) presents the 31st Annual Whitaker St. Louis International Film Festival (SLIFF), running November 3-13.

The 38th edition of INTERFILM Berlin International Short Film Festival is slated to run from November 15-20.

Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) announces the line-up for Rebels with a Cause, an international competition programme screening 11 feature films, alongside a short films competition that includes 13 entries this year, split across two programmes.
